With reference to your letter of the 29th May 1919

on the subject of the position of Mr. C.W. Falk under the Order

in Council dealing with the nationality of persons who may

have charge of British Merchant Ships, I am directed to inform

you that the Sedretary of State for the Colonies is prepared to

reconsider kr. Falk's application for naturalisation provided

that he resides continuously in Hong Kong or else in His

Kajesty's Dominions for the period of one year.

In any further application that may be made exact

details as to the nature and date of Mr. Falk's service in South

Africa during the Boer War should also be given.
